
The lakes and meadows are the private property of the Makefield Lakes Community Association (MLCA). Use of these private properties are subject to the following rules. Please do not litter or abuse this privilege. Please keep the lakes and meadow available for the quiet enjoyment of our neighbors.
- Individuals enter at their own risk. The MLCA is not responsible for injuries and/or accidents which result from the use of this property.
- Public use is limited to the hours between sunrise and sunset. Gathering, loitering, or otherwise using this property after sunset is not permitted.
- Do not trespass on household properties. Public use is limited to the area around and to the unposted areas on the east side of the upper lake.
- Use of this property by groups is restricted. Permission for use must be obtained in writing from the president of the MLCA. Email: MLCA19067@gmail.com
- The use of alcohol or any intoxicant is not permitted.
- Motor vehicles (including the hauling of boats) are not allowed to enter or drive on this property. There are no exceptions.
- No swimming. There are no lifeguards at the lakes. Unsupervised swimming is dangerous.
- Use of boats with motors, including electric, is strictly forbidden.
- Ice skate at your own risk. There is no testing of ice. Skating is hazardous.
- Please clean up and remove your trash and debris.
- Loud and profanity-laden music is prohibited.
- Fishing: The lake is Catch and Release – three line maximum: You must stay in close proximity of your lines at all times. All Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission rules apply.
- Do not throw anything in the lake, including sticks, rocks, bamboo, etc.
- Fire pits and/or Bonfires are prohibited unless permission is granted from the MLCA Board.
- Please do not feed the geese.
